Bricks to Sticks

"Bricks to Sticks" explores the intersection of sustainable construction practices, global experience, and teamwork through the lens of a prefab company, Holz Constructors. Drawing from Ted's personal journey—growing up with immigrant parents who built with locally sourced materials, and gaining valuable lessons from team sports like volleyball —the presentation highlights the importance of collaboration and resourcefulness in modern building practices. The lecture emphasizes how wood, as a renewable and low-carbon material, represents the future of environmentally responsible construction. With a focus on projects from Winnipeg to Chile, Churchill to Vancouver, the talk showcases the global potential of HYBRID prefab meeting the needs of a growing world.
