Announcements

Campus Ministry will be closing for the Winter Break starting on December 25, 2023. Campus Ministry will open again on January 3, 2024. Our first Sunday Mass will be on January 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. and our first Weekday Mass of the New Year will be on January 9, 2024 at 11:45 a.m. Merry Christmas!

Easter Triduum

Join us in celebrating the Holy Week and Easter liturgies at Christ the King Chapel, St. Paul's College, University of Manitoba, 70 Dysart Road

Free Parking in Q-Lot on weekends, holidays and weekdays after 4:30 p.m.

Our Holy Week celebrations are as follows:

  • March 24, 2024 Palm Sunday: 11:00 a.m
  • March 28, 2024 Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper: 7:30 p.m.
  • March 29, 2024 Public Way of the Cross: 9:00 a.m.
  • March 29, 2024 Good Friday Service: 3:00 p.m
  • March 30, 2024 Easter Vigil: 8:00 p.m (Potluck reception to follow in Hanley Hall)
  • March 31, 2024 Easter Sunday: Chapel closed

Events planned for the 2023 - 2024 calendar year:

  • Christmas Mass: 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Sunday, December 24, 2023
  • Filipino Mass: 11:00 a.m., Sunday, January 21, 2024
  • African Mass: 11:00 a.m., Sunday, February 11, 2024
  • South Asian Mass: 11:00 a.m., Sunday, April 14, 2024

Way of the Cross

Join us for the 35th Way of the Cross event at St. Paul's College in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Winnipeg. 

This year's initiative, led by the Office of Youth and Young Adults, promises a powerful experience for all participants.

Where: Christ the King Chapel, St. Paul's College
When: Good Friday, March 29, 2024

Parking will be available in the Q lot on the north side of St. Paul's College, and you can tune in to the opening and closing prayers via livestream on the St. Paul's College Facebook page.

What we offer

We are committed to stewardship by nurturing our own faith formation and that of others. Our active campus ministry team has planned a full schedule of events throughout the year (with a break for vacation in July). Volunteers are encouraged to assist with organizing and participating in various activities.

Spiritual development

Cultural Masses

Given a sufficient number of volunteers who can collaborate, we will seek to organize a Hispanic Mass in December, an African Mass in January and a Filipino Mass in February. Christmas Eve Mass: 8:00 p.m. December 24.

Lenten Reflection Evenings with Sacrament of Reconciliation

At the beginning of Lent, there is a 4pm prayer service and reflection followed by the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Student Retreats

Held for the students of the St. Paul's College Student Association.

Virtual Masses

Sunday Mass is held in Christ the King Chapel from August to June 30, and can be viewed on Facebook and YouTube.

Worship Team Member

Join the worship team as a cross-bearer, lector, altar server, communion minister, usher or member of the hospitality crew. If you love music, then share your talent as a singer or musician.

Building community through social activities

St. Paul’s College Choir

Musicians are welcome to join our choir. Practices are weekly. Comprised of volunteers, the choir also performs at Coffee House and other events.

St. Paul’s College Students’ Association (SPCSA)

SPCSA collaborates with SPC Campus Ministry on various activities and events.

Development and Peace

Development and Peace is the official international development organization of the Catholic Church in Canada. Represent our College and faith community at the free fall and winter workshops, and share information about what is happening on a global level.

Canadian Catholic Students’ Association (CCSA)

A local and national group that supports students who want to live the Gospel on Campus, take on leadership and organize events and activities for students.
