MathCamp
The University of Manitoba is offering its 21st summer camp for mathematically interested and talented grade nine and ten students. The purpose of the camp is to enable students to pursue knowledge in a subject they enjoy, in an environment that encourages and fosters such pursuits. Selected participants will gain knowledge and skills, emphasizing problem-solving. The camp will afford participants a chance to meet and make friends with fellow MathCamp students, students who enjoy and value the pursuit of higher learning.

Eligibility
Students who enjoy and are good at mathematics and who will have completed the equivalent of S1 or S2 mathematics in Manitoba.
Program information
Program overview
A typical day in the life of a MathCamper is:
- Lecture (approximately one hour)
- Problem-solving
- Lunch
- Lecture (approximately one hour)
- Problem-solving
- Mathematical diversions
The program is delivered by mathematics professors from The University of Manitoba with assistance from highly skilful mathematicians.
Time, location and cost
The camp will be held at the University of Manitoba from Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12, 2024. The program will commence at 9 a.m. and terminate at 3 p.m. daily. The cost to students is $50.00 per student.
Deadline
The deadline is June 15, 2024, although if there is space, late applications may be considered.

Submit your application
Once you have the documents ready, please combine them all and send to Nicholas.Harland@umanitoba.ca. You can also mail them to 131 St. Pauls, 70 Dysart Rd, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg MB, R3T 2M6.
If accepted, a $50 cheque addressed to the University of Manitoba will then need to be mailed upon receipt of the acceptance to 131 St. Pauls, 70 Dysart Rd, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg MB, R3T 2M6.
