Research and teaching interests

I obtained my PhD (Statistics) from the University of Glasgow, UK, and my MSc (Statistics) and BSc Honours (Statistics) from the University of Calcutta, India. During my doctoral research at the University of Glasgow, I received the ORS (Overseas Research Scholarship) Award from the Council of Vice Chancellors and Principals (CVCP), London, UK. I was ranked first (First Class First, Gold Medal) in MSc (Statistics) at the University of Calcutta. My areas of research interest include optimal design, constrained optimization, optimal response-adaptive design, incomplete block design, goodness-of-fit tests and linear models. I have received numerous awards including the Dr. and Mrs. H.H. Saunderson Award for excellence in teaching, Students Choice Best Professor Award, Merit Awards in teaching and research and Teaching Recognition Award 3 years in a row from the University of Manitoba. I hold a P.Stat. designation from the Statistical Society of Canada.
