Adult Allergy and Clinical Immunology Residency at the University of Manitoba offers ongoing opportunities for both clinical and research-driven careers in the subspeciality of immunology. In this two-year program, you’ll develop a sound background in immunology theory with weekly immunology rounds, enhanced by close academic interactions with the Section of Pediatric Allergy and the Department of Immunology

As a student of the Adult Allergy and Clinical Immunology Residency, you’ll be guided by expert professors while engaging in meaningful research.

Students of this program wishing to become accredited are expected to do two years of training, of which six months may be used to provide experience in research.

Cross-department collaboration

Varied and organized training is enhanced by close academic interactions with the Section of Pediatric Allergy and the Department of Immunology. These ties afford great opportunities for both a varied clinical and research experience.

Inspiring facilities

The main institution of training is the Health Sciences Centre, with eight half-day Clinical Immunology and Allergy clinics per week, as well as in-patient consults. Consultations are also seen at St. Boniface Hospital and occasionally at non-teaching hospitals.

Ongoing excellence

Students will have the opportunity to produce peer-reviewed manuscripts and present work at national and international meetings.

Please note: The Adult Allergy and Clinical Immunology Residency is not accepting residents for 2021 and 2022.
