Open publishing

We offer publication support and hosting services to assist the UM community to develop open access publications for scholarship and instruction, including online journals, open educational resources (OER), and digital publications and projects. In addition to practical support, we offer financial assistance for faculty to create and adapt open resources.

    Submit a proposal or book a consultation to discuss options, process, funding and related considerations about your open journal project.

    Make an appointment to discuss options, process, funding and related considerations about your open educational resource or other digital proiect.

    Want to start a new research journal, an open education resource (OER) or a digital project? Send us your idea and we will get in touch.

  • Apply for an OER project grant

    Apply for funding from UM Libraries to help create, adapt and/or adopt an open educational resource.
