  • What is the exchange?

Hosted by the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management, the graduate student research sharing and exchange is a two-day event that welcomes students from the univiersities of Regina, Saskatchewan and Lakehead to UM's campus for presentations, networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

Keynote address

The graduate student research sharing and exchange is excited to have Dr. Janet Lawson delivering the keynote speech during the welcome event on Friday, June 12.

An Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management, Lawson's research explores the participation experiences of persons with physical disabilities in sport and exercise. Lawson draws on her own experiences working for the Canadian Paralympic Committee and Athletics Canada to inform her work.

Networking opportunities

This two-day event aims to give graduate students the opportunity to connect with other researchers across fields. Throughout both days, there will be chances to mingle and chat with students, faculty members and outside partners. These informal moments are a great way for students to make connections with the diverse range of attendees.
