  • 1,746 donors contributed to student awards, demonstrating the powerful community behind student success at UM

  • 1,600 first-year students begin their UM journey with entrance scholarships that open doors and fuel their confidence 

  • 4,600 graduate studies awards given, empowering emerging researchers to advance discoveries that shape our world

  • 3,000 awards for Indigenous students, expanding access to education to Manitoba’s fastest growing workforce population 

This award means a lot to me. It's not only a reminder of the strength it took me to overcome adversities I've faced in my academics and the success I have come to achieve, but it also motivates me to continue pursuing my degree. I live with my family, and through this scholarship I've been able to relieve the financial burden in my household. Being able to give back to them in this way is important and special to me.
