    Ceremony time: 7 pm

    Student Attire: You must order your cap and gown in advance. Rental fees apply.

    Your formal invitation with details on RSVP and gown rentals will be emailed in April.

Rent your gown

All graduates must order and wear Academic Regalia (cap and gown) in order to attend the graduation ceremony.

Deadline for ordering gowns and registering to attend: June 2, 2025
Check your email for information on how to order your gown and register to attend.

    Information required for ordering your gown:

    • Name
    • Student number
    • Height
    • Payment of $27.25 plus tax

    Your order will include:

    • Gown rental
    • Souvenir cap and tassel

Your parchment

You or a designate can pick up your certificate at the Extended Education Student Services office located at 185 Extended Education Complex from February 11 to February 25, 2026, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (The office is closed on February 16 for Louis Riel Day). 

You must advise us in advance if you would like to designate someone to pick up your certificate on your behalf. A government-issued form of ID is required when picking up certificates.

  • Confirm your mailing address

    Please ensure we have your correct mailing address by February 1. All certificates not picked up by February 25 will be mailed through Canada Post to the address on your student record as of February 1. We will send any document via standard mail to an international address at no charge.

  • Unclaimed parchments

    The University of Manitoba will hold unclaimed parchments for a maximum of 12 months after graduation, including those returned to us as undeliverable. We will destroy any unclaimed parchments after 12 months.

  • Replacement parchments

    If you do not receive your parchment, it is your responsibility to follow up with the Extended Education office within this 12-month period. Any requests for your parchment after this time will be processed as a Request for Replacement Parchment, at the cost of $83.50 (subject to change).
