Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- describe the strategic planning process for an organization and its human resources (HR) department
- analyze the strategic significance of human resource management
- Develop a framework for how various processes, policies, and philosophies of a strategic HR interrelate
- apply strategic approaches to decisions in human resources
- analyze various human resource case studies using knowledge gained though the units
- adapt strategic decisions to merge or downsize businesses from a human resource perspective
- outline the implications of HR business partnerships in strategy formulation and implementation
- apply techniques to determine HR demand, ascertain HR supply, and formulate information technology approaches to HR analytics
- describe the strategic role that HR plays in the success of an organization
- develop the framework to successfully design a human resources department’s strategic plan
