This course provides students with the tools to assess the learning experience and determine whether learning objectives have been achieved. Course includes a 6-hour applied project component. No prerequisite requirement but it is strongly recommended that students complete Adult Learners prior to enrolling.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • recognize the purposes and professional standards for program evaluation
  • identify a program model and program objectives
  • identify various methods to evaluate program objectives
  • develop tools for evaluating programs, with a focus on utilization
  • prepare an evaluation report
  • reflect on your own understanding of and the potential for implementation of the steps of program evaluation
