Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- undertake public sector management activities (e
- outline the internal workings of the senior civil service and its relationship to elected officials
- work with the rules of the house (legislative assembly) to anticipate, initiate, and prepare timely information needed by deputy ministers and ministers
- prepare and manage information flow for deputy ministers and elected officials on issues shaped by the news industry
- analyze a major issue currently (or potentially, in the near future) in the media challenging the government and recommend the next steps (or plan of action) to advance, address or resolve the issue, as the case may be
