Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- define and characterize the theory of anger and styles of anger
- identify and explain the personal costs of anger
- identify anger triggers, distortions and sequences
- employ anger reduction techniques and strategies by using problem-solving and communication skills
- demonstrate knowledge of Beck’s Cognitive Therapy to distinguish between thoughts and feelings in practitioner-client discussions
- personalize and supplement anger management resources for everyday practice
- examine his/her own anger history and style
- recognize the importance of self-reflection and self-care
