The Venture Coach at the Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship is a resource for students to help lead them into start-up land with one-on-one meetings with students at any stage in the start-up, from the beginning stages of an idea and beyond.

Students book a FREE meeting with the Venture Coach and receive valuable feedback in idea vetting, feasibility studies, financial modelling, market research, cash flow projections, or to bounce around ideas with another entrepreneur!

Raised by serial entrepreneurs, Carine’s strong leadership and passion for Community was revealed at a young age. Originally from Ivory Coast, she migrated to Canada in 2007 and completed her Bachelor in Business Administration.

She has over eight years of experience in providing strategic and innovative counsel based on financial data-driven insights. She has held previous positions as Finance Officer at the World trade Centre Winnipeg and Financial Analyst for CBC Radio Canada and worked with different stakeholders and internal clients from various non for profits organizations and companies in Winnipeg before fully pivoting into Entrepreneurship.

A passionate entrepreneur herself, Carine has more than one string on her bow. In 2020 amidst the pandemic, she opens her own practice Little Tribe consulting where she provides the underrepresented groups such as women, black women with the tools to understands their business’s financials. She also manages Kecara a co-owned e-commerce that specializes in the making and retailing of natural body butters. At last, Carine is the founder a social enterprise start-up in the Childcare Care & Recreational industry currently in the development phase.

From Business plan writing to Cost Analysis & Budgeting, Carine uses her expertise as the Strategic Partnership – Venture Support Lead for the Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship to support aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners succeed in their ventures or start one.

She is well-aware of the challenges that entrepreneurs can encounter in their journey and is actively involved within the Business Ecosystem to connect “the dots”. She was as a guest speaker at the Made to Grow Conference 2021(virtual format conference with over 200 local female business owners) and has collaborated with numerous local female-led business circles such as Hustle +Charm Community. She was a judge at various business plan competitions and was invited to be a part of the selection committee for the Manitoba Technology Accelerator- Startup Visa Program reviewing business plans from international entrepreneurs seeking to immigrate to Canada.

To set up your free meeting with the Venture Coach, please follow the steps below:

  1. Set up your Startup Tree Account. 
  2. Click "Mentor" on the top menu
  3. Click the blue button "Book Meeting Now". From here you can view a calendar and book in a meeting at a time that is convenient for you.
  4. If there are any materials you would like us to review before the meeting, please send through the Startup Tree platform
