Gallery Tours
We offer gallery tours and workshops for schools, organizations, and groups.
Join us at the School of Art Gallery for engaging and creative tours designed to enhance your curriculum or program. Our tours encourage participants to engage with new art experiences while learning about the landscape of contemporary artists, their practices, and the concepts held in their works.
We have new exhibitions running throughout the year with unique themes and content, and we work with groups to book a tour during an exhibition that suits their curriculum goals.
We encourage school classrooms grades 8-12, community-based organizations, youth serving agencies, and university classrooms or groups to book one of our following tour options:
Exhibition Tour: one hour of exploring the exhibition and engaging with artworks led by a gallery facilitator, with opportunities for questions and discussion.
Exhibition Tour + Workshop: one hour exhibition tour, followed by a fun half-hour workshop in a break-out classroom exploring the themes of the exhibition. Examples of activities include drawing prompts, collage, and movement.
The structure and content of the tours and workshop can be modified to best respond to the interests, needs, and abilities of your group. The School of Art Gallery and workshop spaces meet most physical accessibility requirements, and additional supports like ASL interpretation can be arranged if needed.

Book a Tour
We are currently booking Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 10:00am-4:00pm.
If you need a specific date or time beyond our usual tour hours, we’ll do our best to meet your schedule.
Please keep in mind that while we aim to accommodate last-minute bookings, we ask for a two-week notice for tour arrangements.

Partnerships
The School of Art Gallery seeks to build relationships in community by offering outreach programming in adjunct with each exhibition. This includes offering workshops with visiting artists in your organization or school space or engaging in experiences at the School of Art campus.
These workshops are tailored to fit the needs of the partner organization and is created in dialogue with the exhibition curator, artist, and partner.
We are also seeking partners for our Indigenous art summer program, Kiskithihta Mīthokwesowin: Discovering our Gifts, that brings workshops led by professional Indigenous artists to community-based organizations.
