Madelyn Gowler is currently based on Treaty 1 Territory and is a BFA graduate from the University of Manitoba. Their practice spans textiles, installation, Super 8 film, and analog photography, with a focus on themes of gender, personal archive, and film as subject. Madelyn's work has been exhibited locally at venues such as Graffiti Gallery and the Collections Gallery at the University of Manitoba, and internationally at the Engauge Experimental Film Festival in Seattle, WA, and Experiments in Cinema v18.4 in Albuquerque, NM.

This talk will offer an opportunity to delve into Madelyn’s creative processes, explore the conceptual threads of their work, and engage in conversation about contemporary approaches to experimental film and photography.
