Research interests
Dr. Mante's research program focuses on the interaction of soil physical properties and processes with plants, field management practices, and the environment.
Specific research interests include:
- characterizing and optimizing soil physical properties and processes and their interaction with soil water management strategies, field operations, and nutrient management for sustainable management of agroecosystem
- optimizing soil physical properties and processes to restore soil health in reclaimed disturbed agricultural lands
- modelling soil physical processes impacts on crop growth and performance, nutrient transport processes, and soil stress loading
