How do I check the status of my application?

You can check your application status at any time by logging into your UM undergraduate application portal:

How do I submit documents?

You can upload documents directly into your application portal during your initial application. Once the application is submitted, some documents may be uploaded into your application portal or can be emailed to applicant.services@umanitoba.ca (be sure to include your full name and student number).

My school is closed. How can I submit a high school transcript?

We continue to coordinate with Manitoba high schools to ensure grades are submitted to us directly from your school. For students residing outside of Manitoba, the University of Manitoba will accept an electronic transcript provided it is sent from a representative of your school. Applicants who submit their documents electronically may be requested to provide original, physical copies at a later date. Electronic transcripts should be submitted to applicant.services@umanitoba.ca.

My university/college is closed. How do I submit my official transcript?

Applicants who have previously taken post-secondary courses at another university or college are required to submit official transcripts - this usually means a physical document. In the event that you are not able to provide an official transcript (for example, if the issuing office at your university or college is closed due to COVID-19), the University of Manitoba will accept an electronic transcript provided that it has been sent from the email of the office responsible for issuing transcripts. Applicants who submit their documents electronically may be requested to provide original, physical copies at a later date. Electronic transcripts should be submitted to applicant.services@umanitoba.ca.

Will there be any changes to English language proficiency requirements at the UM as a result of the COVID-19?

The University of Manitoba will temporarily accept the IELTS Indicator, TOEFL iBT Home Edition and CAEL Online tests at the same levels as the respective in-person versions.

Can a pass grade be used to fulfill an admission requirement(s) to a program?

No. Students must meet the admission requirements for the program to which they've applied. Please carefully review the Applicant Information Bulletin for the program; all bulletins can be found on the Admissions application page.

Will courses that I have selected to be excluded from my CGPA be used to fulfill an admission requirement to a program?

All courses that are assigned a letter grade will be used to fulfill admission requirements as well as in the GPA calculations, regardless of whether they were selected to be excluded from the CGPA. Please carefully review the Applicant Information Bulletin for the program; all bulletins can be found on the Admissions application page.
