Morality is not purely a matter of having right moral attitudes or knowing moral principles, but morality is a “competence” which needs to be developed and measured, in much the same way as other competencies are developed and measured. Kohlberg (1965) defined moral judgment competence as “the capacity to make decisions and judgment which are moral and to consistently act in accordance with such judgments.”

This study considers the relationship between the “moral judgment competence level” of students who had been educated in a Jesuit school. “Moral education” seeks to explain other factors affecting this competence. Ultimately, several crucial associated factors related to Jesuit “moral education” promote, enhance, and strengthen students’ level of moral judgment competence.
