Whether you’re travelling for business, pleasure or as part of your educational program, the Travel Health Clinic at Steele’s Apothecary is here to help you get on your way safely.

Expert guidance
Our pharmacists are trained in travel health and can provide personalized recommendations based on your destination, itinerary and individual health profile.

Vaccination services
Stay protected against diseases prevalent in your travel destination with our comprehensive vaccination services. From routine vaccines to specialized travel vaccines, we provide a range of immunization services based on your travel health needs. For select destinations requiring Yellow Fever vaccination, patients may be referred to an external clinic as this vaccine is not currently available at Steele’s Apothecary.

Medication consultations
Receive individualized advice on travel-related health concerns and medications, including malaria prevention, altitude sickness and traveler’s diarrhea. Where prescription medications are indicated, our pharmacists will work collaboratively with your primary care provider to facilitate access to appropriate treatment when required.

Health education
Gain valuable insights into health and safety precautions specific to your destination. We’ll equip you with the knowledge you need to stay healthy while traveling.

We recommend booking 6-8 weeks in advance of planned travel.

Vaccination clinics – protect yourself and your community!

Each fall, Steele’s Apothecary hosts vaccination clinics offering COVID-19 and influenza immunizations to UM students, staff, faculty and members of the community.

Pharmacy students may participate in vaccine administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists as part of their experiential learning.

For information on upcoming clinic dates or to book an appointment, please contact steeles.apothecary@umanitoba.ca.
