Biography

Dr. Yannick Léandre Traoré is an assistant professor in the College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, at the University of Manitoba. He received his PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Waterloo in 2021, where he investigated stimuli-responsive drug delivery systems for HIV prevention and the treatment of chronic wounds. He was subsequently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Waterloo, where his research included 3D-printed biomaterials, nanoparticle cellular uptake and rapid molecular diagnostics.

Before joining academia, Dr. Traoré worked as a Senior Formulation Scientist in the sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing, where he contributed to drug product formulation development and optimization.
