Research summary

Dr. Xiaochen Gu’s research program focuses on development and evaluation of innovative oral, topical, transdermal and parenteral drug delivery systems for various chemical entities (e.g., insect repellents, sunscreens, antifungal and antitumour agents, etc.). He utilizes state-of-the-art instrumentation specializing in dosage form research and development, including HPLC systems, automatic diffusion systems, texture analyzer, rheometer, etc. He also carries out interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research projects, in collaboration with national and international collaborators, from both academia and pharmaceutical industry.



Dr. Xiaochen Gu is a professor at the College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba. Dr. Gu joined the College of Pharmacy (formerly Faculty of Pharmacy) at the University of Manitoba in July 1997.
