Teaching philosophy

My goal as an educator is to provide high-quality nursing education, designed to equip nursing students with the skills, knowledge, and critical reflection necessary to practice safely, while creating a compassionate and inclusive learning environment in which they can grow and thrive both as future nurses and as human beings.

Thus, one of the guiding principles of my teaching practice is that of compassionate pedagogy. My hope is to move beyond teaching future nurses about compassion, to modeling it for them by creating learning environments in which we all engage in a self-compassionate reflective practice.
