Teaching philosophy

"Take chances, make mistakes, get messy” Mrs. Frizzle from The Magic School Bus.

This quote resonates with me and my teaching philosophy. I strive to challenge students to learn and grow in an environment that is safe for them to do so. Education is not neat and tidy, it can be messy! When students learn, it is about experimenting, taking risks and challenging themselves to come out of their comfort zone. To be a nursing educator is the converging point of my passion for learning, teaching, and my passion for nursing. It is a privilege to create an environment where students feel comfortable to stretch their minds, problem solve and grow as individuals!
