Teaching philosophy
Teaching is about motivating to learn and helping to develop learning skills. I believe that a classroom should be a safe, stimulating, and caring environment where students are free to speak their minds, blossom, and grow.
My decision to join academia was motivated to share what I have learned over a decade of practical experience and applied research. I feel privileged to be a part of students’ learning journey. I consider my students as fellow learners, a source of inspiration to share knowledge, and a source of passion for learning together.
Biography
Chen Jin is an Instructor II in the College of Nursing at the University of Manitoba.
Chen has 14 years of diverse nursing experience. She completed her bachelor of nursing and master of nursing degrees at the University of Manitoba and her post-master’s nurse practitioner graduate diploma at Memorial University.
Chen also brings s experience as a clinical resource nurse and a nurse educator at Health Sciences Centre, clinical and course instructor at Red River College and Urban Circle Training Centre.
She also served as a chair of the Medicine Nurse Practice Committee in the Health Sciences Centre.
