Teaching philosophy

I am committed to fostering an environment that is learner-centered at its core, built on fostering a growth mindset within a safe and supportive atmosphere. I firmly believe that by embracing and role-modeling these principles, we can nurture aspiring nurses to become compassionate, skilled, and adaptable healthcare professionals who provide high-quality care to diverse patient populations, committed to lifelong learning and professional growth.

Biography

Alia Lagace joined the College of Nursing in 2016. Alia's areas of interest and practice are in adult acute and sub-acute medicine nursing, performance-based teaching and evaluation, and English additional language learners in Canadian nursing education.
