Research summary

Dr. Patel’s research explores brain and behaviour relationships in neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions such as brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and posttraumatic stress disorder. Specifically, he is pursuing projects related to how neuropsychological and psychological functioning relates to large-scale neurocognitive networks in these different patient populations. Dr. Patel’s research also explores mechanisms underlying cognitive recovery post-injury and cognitive rehabilitation.

Biography

Dr. Ronak Patel is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and assistant professor in the department of clinical health psychology, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba.

He provides neuropsychological assessments services to patients throughout the province of Manitoba and is the creator of TEAM (Training of Executive Attention and Memory), a group-based cognitive rehabilitation program for clients with neurological conditions.
