Research summary

Dr. Krysanski’ s research interests include psychotherapy outcome research, particularly in the areas of mood disorders and group psychotherapy, as well as in examining the factors that impact treatment engagement in mental health services. She is also interested in eating disorders research, including examining the role of attachment and personality factors in treatment outcome.

Biography

Dr. Krysanski is a clinical and health psychologist and assistant professor in clinical health psychology at the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba. She is also site lead for CHP at Victoria Hospital.

She currently provides inpatient consultation to medical and mental health units at Victoria Hospital, as well as outpatient cognitive and psychodiagnostic assessments. She also provides outpatient treatment for mood disorders.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Krysanski enjoys teaching and clinical supervision with medical students, doctoral psychology students and clinical psychology residents.

Prior to joining the University of Manitoba, Dr. Krysanski worked as a clinical psychologist at the Regional Centre for Eating Disorders, at the Ottawa Hospital, providing assessment, treatment, and consultation to individuals with eating disorders.
