Dr. Hong’s research is focused on clinical outcomes research, cost-effectiveness analysis and economic evaluation.
Dr. Jonathan Hong is a cardiac surgeon and assistant professor at the UM. His clinical interests are thoracic aortic surgery and transcatheter valvular interventions. He completed fellowship training at Texas Heart Institute, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas under the tutelage of Dr. Joseph Coselli, a world-expert in open and endovascular aortic surgery. He also completed fellowship training in Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois in complex cardiac surgery including heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, mitral valve repair, minimally-invasive cardiac surgery, and transcatheter aortic valve implantation.
