Biography

Brief bio

Dr. Jonathan Hong is an assistant professor and cardiac surgeon at the University of Manitoba. His clinical interests include thoracic aortic surgery and transcatheter valvular interventions. He completed fellowship training at the Texas Heart Institute, Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, under Dr. Joseph Coselli, an expert in open and endovascular aortic surgery. He also trained at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, specializing in complex cardiac surgery, including heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, mitral valve repair, minimally-invasive cardiac surgery, and transcatheter aortic valve implantation.
