Dr. Henriksen’s current program of research examines the effectiveness of novel psychotherapy interventions for individuals with a wide range of mental health difficulties. She is interested in developing and evaluating lower-cost, brief, and low-intensity mental health treatments that can reduce wait times and improve access to evidence-based treatments, particularly in crisis populations. She recently received an operating grant from the Health Sciences Centre Foundation to pilot a CBT-based psychoeducational skills class for individuals who have made a recent suicide attempt that she developed with her team at the Crisis Response Centre.
