Location
Based at the Health Sciences Centre (including the Children's Hospital of Winnipeg) and St. Boniface Hospital, both renowned tertiary care institutions.

Diagnostic neuroimaging with opportunities for collaborative research projects tailored to your interests.
Level
Equivalent to a PGY6 position with a competitive annual stipend according to PARIM guidelines.

Training excellence
Immerse yourself in a dynamic clinical environment, encompassing outpatient and cancer research facilities equipped with advanced tools including Varian linear accelerators, IMRT, IGRT, and more.
Wide scope
Engage in consultations across Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario, collaborating with a team of 16 radiation oncologists, 11 medical physicists, and eight residents.
Research emphasis
Dedicate 20% of your time to research and program development, exploring avenues in clinical outcomes, translational research, physics, and epidemiology.
Clinical exposure
Delve into diagnostic neuroimaging, honing your skills in MR spectroscopy, CT, MRI perfusion imaging, and functional MRI techniques.
Clinical experience
Cutting-edge facilities
Work with top-tier equipment including IMRIS hybrid 3T MRI, biplane neuroangiography suites, clinical MRI systems, CT scanners, PET-CT, and SPECT-CT cameras.
Case exposure
Encounter a diverse caseload from high-volume neuroradiology cases to acute neuroimaging emergencies.
Training opportunities
Explore additional training in carotid ultrasound and utilize the National Research Council Headquarters' superior 3 Tesla magnetic resonance scanner for research purposes.
Rotations
Protected time for research and development
Approximately 20% of the fellow’s schedule is designated for research and program development. This time allows for focused exploration and advancement in these critical areas.
Clinical experience in diagnostic neuroimaging
The remaining 80% of the fellowship is dedicated to obtaining advanced clinical experience in diagnostic neuroimaging. This immersive experience ensures comprehensive training and skill development.
Opportunities for collaborative research
Fellows also have the opportunity to engage in collaborative research projects. These projects span various domains including clinical outcomes, translational research, physics, and epidemiology. Such opportunities enrich the learning experience and contribute to the broader scientific community.
How to apply
Eligibility
Applicants must meet CPSM criteria for an educational medical license in Manitoba. Completion of residency training in Advanced Neuro Imaging in Canada or the United States is required.

To apply for the Advanced Neuroimaging Fellowship program, you must:
- Meet the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM) eligibility criteria for obtaining an educational medical license in Manitoba
- Have completed an Advanced Neuroimaging residency program in Canada or the United States
- Have good communication skills, including command of the English Language
- Have evidence of being recognized as a specialist in the jurisdiction where you are currently practicing medicine
- Completion of the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination (MCCEE) is preferred, but not mandatory
