Service requests - Government

Requests for deliverable research projects or services are submitted through an online portal that is accessible using a secure weblink. Currently, only individuals or entities at Manitoba Health, Shared Health and MCHP (topic sponsors) are eligible to submit requests. However, the list of topic sponsors will expand to other service delivery organizations in the future.

Service request process

Deliverable research requests must follow a series of steps before they are approved as commissioned MCHP Deliverables:

  1. Service request submission via the online portal and triaged to MCHP based on the nature of the project or service being requested (requests may also be triaged to George & Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) or SOARR depending on the research topic)(1 day)
  2. Feasibility assessment by MCHP (10 days)
  3. Project clarification between the topic sponsor and MCHP
  4. Project selection by Manitoba Health based on system priorities
  5. Project launch meeting indicating the official start of a project (within 60 days of project selection)
