The Class of 1980 has endowed a prize to be given annually in the form of a cash prize to a Law student in any Year of the LL.B. program for outstanding involvement (either as an organizer or as a participant or both) in the extracurricular activities of the Faculty of Law, including M.L.S.A. positions, responsibilities, and activities, moot court competitions, Legal Aid Clinic, Law Journal and intra-mural sports. The selection committee is the Executive of the Manitoba Law Students Association. Members of the M.L.S.A. Executive are not disqualified from winning the Prize, but any members who apply or who are nominated cannot serve on the selection committee. If necessary the M.L.S.A. council can appoint a replacement member or members to the selection committee.

You can either apply for the prize or nominate someone for the prize. In doing either please detail your involvement or the involvement of your nominee. Applications or nominations should be left at the Faculty General Office, addressed to the Dean of Law. The deadline for the receipt of applications or nominations is in early April each year. The prize will be presented at the Grads Farewell.
