Frequently asked questions

What is the Faculty, Staff and Retirees (FSR) Giving Campaign?

The FSR Campaign encourages faculty, staff and retirees to make a philanthropic gift in support of student scholarships, bursaries, programs and priority initiatives across UM.

Why give?

When we give as members of the UM community, we demonstrate leadership and shared commitment to student success beyond what we do in our day-to-day work. Our collective participation signals to students, alumni and external partners that we believe in the transformative power of education.

How much should I give?

Every gift matters and is appreciated. Choose an amount that fits comfortably within your budget.  Participation at every level strengthens the campaign and its impact.

Can I designate where I want my donation to go?

Absolutely! You may direct your support to a specific scholarship, faculty, program, department or area of greatest need.

Need help finding a particular fund? Please email Roslyn Dally for assistance.

Are Contributions Tax-Deductible?

Yes. All donations of $18.00 or more are eligible for a charitable tax receipt. Gifts made through payroll deduction will appear on your T4 Summary from UM.
