Schedule information
May 12 to August 25, 2025
This course is for the UM Community including UM students, staff, and faculty. It was designed for everyone, no matter their educational background or prior experience.
The hybrid format includes a mix of learning modules for self-study, and required facilitated sessions offered either in person or online. Prospective learners will be able to choose from a selection of dates for these required sessions when offers of admission are made. Learners will have up to four months to complete the course in the format that works best for them.
With a limit of 120 participants across two sections, applications will be open from March 10 to March 24, 2025. Applicants will be advised if they are eligible for the course, and then, contacted again if they are selected to participate. To select participants, a lottery-based system is used to avoid first-come, first-served admission practices that privilege those with access to time and technology. Those who are not selected will be added to a waitlist for a future session.
Mandatory facilitated sessions for Summer 2025
If you are selected, you will be required to attend one offering of Session 1 and one offering of Session 2. Please check that you are available for at least one date for each session in one of the course sections (E01 or E02).
