Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • review, integrate and practice basic counselling skills
  • discuss and apply more advanced counselling skills, such as exploring motivation, using evocative empathy and challenging
  • develop a continued self-awareness, identity and personal style in counselling
  • examine and describe the roles and responsibilities in the counselling relationship
  • identify and evaluate values in counselling
