Faculty of Education Bachelor of Education Program Music and Physical Education 2021 Requirements
Applicants who do not meet the new requirements outlined in Appendix 4 and Appendix 5 for Physical Education or Music will be considered under the approved Fall 2021 major/minor requirements.
Section 1: Fall 2021 Physical Education Requirements

Courses to be used in the major and minor must be taught in their respective departments. Course substitutions require prior approval from the Faculty of Education and are subject to limitation.
* If you do not have a Bachelor of Phyusical Education or equivalent degree, you should discuss your options with a Bachelor of Education Academic Advisor.
Section 2: Fall 2021 Music Education Specialization Requirements
For Early Years, an applicant must have completed 18 credit hours for a major and 12 credit hours for a minor. Courses must be taught in the Faculty of Music.
For Middle Years, an applicant must have completed 18 credit hours for a major and 12 credit hours for a minor of Music Education coursework (Choral*, Instrumental** or Early/Middle***).
For Senior Years, an applicant must have completed 18 credit hours of Music Education coursework (Choral* or Instrumental**) for a major or a minor. In a major concentration an additional 12 hours of music coursework is required.
