Responsibilities
As the junior oceanographic technician I oversee field operation of oceanographic equipment, as well as mobilization, maintenance, and storage of the instruments before and after field campaigns. Examples of equipment include rosette, CTDs, oceanographic moorings, sediment traps, underway flow-through system for ship, plankton nets, and pelagic and benthic trawls. I provide support on a variety of projects, including the Churchill Marine Observatory, and excursions on the RV William Kennedy and CCGS Amundsen.
