Dr. Chrysi Stavropoulou graduated from the National and Capodistrial University of Athens in Greece as a scholar of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery, in 2013.
Her passion for periodontology led her in Winnipeg, where she obtained her Master of Dentistry in Periodontics from the University of Manitoba, in 2018.
Dr. Stavropoulou entered the academia in 2019. Her goal of a teacher is to facilitate the development of well-rounded individuals that have the technical knowledge, emotional strength, and caring attitude to succeed and thrive in their communities. She finds it fulfilling to observe her students’ grow during their program. She strongly believes that as a teacher, she learns and grows with them.
Dr. Stavropoulou is currently the director of Graduate Periodontics Program. She leads the program with passion, discipline and a strong sense of responsibility.
Dr. Stavropoulou is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentist of Canada, a member of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology, and an international member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Dental Education Association.
