Tip of the Week: Use Multiple Job Search Strategies
Do not rely on one platform. Use job boards like UMConnect, company websites, networking, and referrals. Different employers recruit in different ways, so expanding your approach increases your chances.
What you are building while you do this
This is more than doing a job. It is how you start building skills you will use in your experiences.
- When you are actively looking instead of waiting, that is Initiative.
- When you try different approaches and adjust what is not working, that is Adaptability.
- When you explore different roles and industries, you are building your Career Development.
These are competencies you can later recognize and reflect on through your experiences.
