How to Start a Side Hustle Course

The Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship is proud to present a new 6-week online workshop, How to Start a Side Hustle! 

In partnership with Jeff Mitchell of Lane Two, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge and skills to bring your side hustle ideas to life. On behalf of the Stu Clark Centre, we are sponsoring a maximum of 20 spots in the workshop, which means it is FREE for the 20 selected participants (all current students, alumni, and staff are eligible to apply).

About the course

Who is this workshop for? 

If you are in the early stages or an aspiring side hustler, this is for you. 

Whether you are an aspiring creative entrepreneur, an early-stage tech founder, a new freelancer, or if you are interested in entrepreneurship but don’t yet have a specific idea, this course will give you the knowledge to develop the business you want.

Open to all University of Manitoba students, staff, and alumni. 

How does it work? 

Students will meet once a week on Zoom for a 90-minute training session. 

You'll learn the step-by-step process you’ll need to validate your ideal target customer, design your side hustle business model and plan the launch of your new product or service. 

Each week, students will also have access to 1 x 60 minute office hour session per week, where you’ll have the opportunity to get support that is tailored specifically to your side hustle.

You’ll also have access to 1 on 1 coaching during the 6 week course, where you’ll have the opportunity to get support that is tailored specifically to your side hustle.

  • The Launch Continued + Backend Systems and Operation

Selection Process

Following the submission of your application, the Stu Clark Centre team will review each application individually to determine 20 students for our How to Start a Side Hustle workshop. 

Our team will be in touch with you about the status of your application once a decision has been made.
