Biography

Kelsey Taylor is an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba. She completed her Ph.D. in Operations Management at the Ivey Business School at Western University and holds a Master’s of Environment and Sustainability from Western University with an earlier background in Sociology.

Her research examines multiple dimensions of environmental and social responsibility in supply chains using quantitative and qualitative research methods, such as a case studies, behavioural experiments, and econometric analysis. Topics of interest include: the role of activists in the adoption of sustainable supply chain practices, the B Corporation movement, social entrepreneurship, and the circular economy. Her ongoing research projects examine the supply chains of purpose-driven organizations like social enterprises to understand how and why different types of actors and institutions contribute to sustainable impact creation. Her work has been published in research journals such as the Journal of Supply Chain Management, Industrial Marketing Management and the International Journal of Production Research.

Kelsey is currently available to supervise graduate students who are interested in sustainable supply chains, the circular economy, or other related topics.
