Dr. Ying is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, where he earned his bachelor of science in 2005 and his medical degree in 2009. He also completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at UM, and then completed a fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Washington’s department of radiology.
In 2015, Dr. Ying joined the Max Rady College of Medicine as a lecturer in the Department of Radiology. Mainly centered at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, he works as a staff neuroradiologist with particular interest in Trauma, Stroke and Head and Neck imaging. He is heavily involved at all levels of health professions education.
Dr. Ying served as the director of adult CT and MRI at the Health Sciences Centre for five years prior to taking the position as department head of radiology at the University of Manitoba.
He lives in Winnipeg with his wife and two young sons.
