Dr. Shajy Isac is a renowned public health researcher and an expert in the field of maternal and child health, family planning, and HIV/AIDS. He brings over 24 years of experience to the table, including a PhD in Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai and a background as a statistician and demographer.
Dr. Isac is particularly well-versed in survey designs and program monitoring, with a talent for developing innovative monitoring systems and interpreting and communicating research findings effectively. He has co-authored a substantial number of peer-reviewed papers and is a leader in his field, serving as a member of various technical expert groups in the field of HIV/AIDS intervention programs worldwide.
In addition to his research contributions, Dr. Isac has provided technical expertise for numerous large-scale studies for international organizations and governments, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UNICEF, World Bank, and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare in India.

A statistician and a trained demographer with PhD from the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai, India.
Has more than 24 years of research experiences in designing and implementing large scale studies and establishing monitoring systems in the field of HIV/AIDS, Health, Maternal and Child Health, etc.
Lead and continue to provide technical expertise on epidemic appraisals and research studies globally in the field of HIV/AIDS, including South Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe.
Leading a large research team with various expertise and is a member of various technical expert groups in the field of HIV/AIDS intervention programs of various governments.
Authored more than 150 papers and mentored research students from India and abroad.
Has provided expertise in designing large scale surveys of HIV/AIDS, Health, MCH, education etc. including sampling and survey methods.
Collaborated and conducted a number of studies for various international and national donors including Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), UNICEF, World Bank, WHO, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), United States Aid for International Development (USAID), Research Triangular Institute (RTI), Department of International Development, UK (DFID), etc. and for the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, India (GoI) and for various state and national governments.
