Brief bio

Dr. Devon Evans is an assistant professor and head of the section of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at the University of Manitoba. Specializing in endometriosis and pelvic pain management, he is dedicated to providing excellence in medical and surgical care for women. With fellowship training from McMaster University, Dr. Evans is actively involved in healthcare implementation science, quality improvement, and surgical device innovation. His educational background includes a Master of Public Health from Harvard University and a medical doctorate from the University of British Columbia.

He adopts a supportive and collaborative approach, striving to optimize his department's delivery of high-quality minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. His focus lies in teaching, mentorship, and driving quality improvement initiatives.

Teaching philosophy

At every educational level, he engages in teaching, be it undergraduate, postgraduate, or faculty. He emphasizes setting 'SMART' goals with learners and charting paths to achieve them.
