Dr. Chris Wiebe's research focuses on kidney transplantation, specifically the determinants of de novo donor-specific antibody development and rejection. He has published on clinical and pathologic risk factors for antibody development and has expertise in identifying human leukocyte antigen (HLA) alloepitopes mismatched between donor and recipient. His ongoing work investigates HLA molecular mismatch as a predictive and prognostic biomarker in renal transplantation.
Dr. Chris Wiebe is a transplant nephrologist and associate professor of internal medicine and immunology at the University of Manitoba. He specializes in immunogenetics and the development of de novo donor-specific antibodies in renal transplantation.
