Research summary

Dr. Katz has an established track record of publications in suicide risk epidemiology and has received local and national grant funding to study both long-term outcomes of siblings of individuals with autism as well as relationship building with an urban-indigenous youth organization to enhance health equity.

Biography

Dr. Katz works as a child and adolescent psychiatrist at the Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre and as an assistant professor in Psychiatry department at UM. She has a particular clinical interest in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Dr. Katz completed her medical degree at the University of Manitoba in 2015 and finished a psychiatry residency and subspecialty training at UM in 2021 and 2022, respectively. Dr. Katz is a member of the American and Canadian Academies of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, as well as the Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance. Her primary research interests are long-term outcomes in neurodevelopmental populations as well as health equity.
