I believe excellent patient care should always be our first priority. I think all people should have access to safe gynecologic care that allows them to get back to an improved quality of life as soon as possible. As a healthcare team, we need to keep moving toward this goal.
Learners should have the opportunity to observe good clinicians and surgeons as well as directly be involved in patient care. I believe everyone learns in different ways and at different speeds and I have a love of empathy for those going through academic programs.
Dr. Maksymowicz started her own gynecology and obstetrics practice in 2015 after completing a minimally invasive surgery fellowship. She worked at the Manitoba Clinic for seven years until recently moving to the McPhillips Medical Clinic.
Dr. Maksymowicz appreciates a career where she can care for people medically and surgically. Her surgical practice includes the laparoscopic management of fibroids, endometriosis, infertility, complex ectopic pregnancies, gender dysphoria and tubal ligation reversals.
In 2021, Dr. Maksymowicz assumed the role of director of procedure rooms for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. Her practice includes operative hysteroscopy in a procedure room setting as well as colposcopy.
