In my role as a program director for the last six years, I have mentored many residents to both academic and personal success. I thus bring expertise to mentorship and I am capable designing strategies to assist learners with their needs. My area of interest is learner safety and well-being.
I am an avid traveler/globetrotter. I love to socialize, experience different cultures and their foods. I also love to cook and bake, and I enjoy listening to music.
Please email me with brief summary of how I can be most helpful to you.
My mentorship style is to understand the need, come up with a helpful strategy and guide the learner to achieve their goals/needs through these strategies. I tend to be compassionate and communicative.
Most of my training has been at UM. I trained as Doctor of Medicine, internist and a hematologist all at UM. I then pursued specialized training in lymphoproliferative disorders at the British Columbia Cancer.
Since 2015, I have been working as a staff hematologist at CancerCare Manitoba. I was promoted to an associate professor in May 2023.
At present, I serve as a clinician as well as the program director of adult hematology in the Max Rady College of Medicine.
