The University of Manitoba provides a number of data repository solutions that are available to all researchers. Data specifics considered include risk level, storage type, collaboration, and size/volume.

Existing RDM support and services
RDM support and services are currently provided for the areas of data management planning, data deposit and overall RDM guidance for researchers.

DMP Assistant. Online application to assist researchers with the creation of data management plans. Contains a custom DMP template created for University of Manitoba researchers. Additional custom templates expected in 2022.

Research Data Management at the Libraries. A Website with RDM information and services provided by the Libraries.

Best Practices in Research Management. A workshop series is offered for new UM faculty in order to provide a broad understanding of the requirements and institutional obligations in carrying out research and development at UM.

Department-Level RDM Training. The Libraries currently offer training on data management plans and research data deposit.

The University of Manitoba has and will continue to raise awareness about RDM.
